Some studies refer loneliness as social isolation, but there are arguments that differences exists between them. While loneliness is seen as the state of mind with subjective contrary feeling, social isolation is the state of a person when he or she disassociate from social network (Weiss et al 2009). Loneliness can be felt in all ages of life, but as we become older the possible risk factors that accompanies it emerges (McGraw, 2015).
