Being able to watch an event changes the learning experience because it makes it more realistic. Watching this specific mission rather than just reading about it made the picture more clear. It is easy to read about how brutal war is, but it is hard to understand without seeing the devastating events of being outnumbered and in a crisis. The blood and gore also make the event feel more real. Another thing this assignment helps with is critical thinking. This assignment makes us dig into the specific event our movie focuses on and analyze it for inaccuracies. Inaccuracies will be found in all Hollywood movies because even the smallest of embellishments can add a little more intensity or appeal to the event.
