Lone Star College Reflection

Lone Star College has a lot of helpful resources and services that I didn’t know about, but there were only 5 that really stood out to me. The first service were The Dance and Zumba Classes in the health and wellness center because I do like to stay active and I feel like those to classes will help to stay fit. Secondly, I chose the Library because they have study rooms that students can use to study when they need a quiet place to look over notes, and I feel that this will benefit me a lot because if I have test that I have to study for I will be able to go there and look over some notes without having to be interrupted by people I will really be able to concentrate on what I need to look over. The third resource I decided to choose was the …show more content…
When visiting these locations, I had a really awesome experience I first went to the Dance and Zumba classes just to see the overall the idea and excitement about the class at it was really cool the instructors were really nice they go step by step with each move and they make sure that you really get into and make sure you have the dance moves down before they move onto the next dance, but this is one service I will really use. Next, I went to visit the academic of success center to get help with my math homework and the teachers were really nice they help me step by step with each problem and broke it down to make sure I got the concepts, but if I was still having problems they would find new ways to teach me the concepts until I finally got it. Since visiting these services I do plan on using them again because I feel they will help me be successful in this year and help me stay on track on this school

Hi Hye Jin Sim, I have the same opinion with you. Learning Resource Center (LRC), which is one of the departments in Cypress College has a lot of benefits for students such as printers, computers, tutors, and more. Students who do not have computers can use computers in LRC whenever you want. In addition, students who study ESL or English can meet tutors in LRC for help. For example, I often meet ESL tutors for help to correct my essay.…

I am currently a senior in the Helms School of Government at Liberty University. I found out about your Global Internship Program through Dr. Cox who teaches my Corrections class. After doing research on your website I was very impressed. Being able to practice the skills that I have learned over the years such as government relations and disaster response, while implementing my Christian worldview in serving others would be an amazing experience. I would be a great addition to your team because of my past experience with serving on mission’s trips, living in a foreign country for a year and a half, and being on Liberty University’s student leadership team.…

Lonestar Field trip The campus resources that I chose are the library, cafe, gym, and the office of academic success. I chose these resources because the library contains information I might need in the future and has entertaining aspects such as a 3D printer, a virtual reality headset, and Wacom tablets used for drawing on the computer which I could use for various art projects. The cafe is a place where I can get something to eat after school, it is very handy when I am on the campus and want a bite to eat. The gym has a lot of after school activities which I enjoy because there are things like Zumba or fitness classes which I would normally have to pay for a gym membership outside of school for.…

When I first started Richland Community College, I thought it was going to be a breeze because of it being a community college. From the first week of it though, I realized this is not going to be a walk in the park. I realized I will have to put in extra time to study for tests and writing expansive papers. After being in Professor Trickel’s class for one semester, I have learned to study beforehand and not leave anything till the last minute, his class has taught me that time management is necessary in order to succeed. The class has also granted me new friends, who have helped me whether it be helping me understand the lesson, or sharing their study methods and materials.…

At UC Davis, I am an University Honors Program student so I take smaller sized honors level classes with other honors students. While in class, I noticed that most honors students are very involved in class projects and have their own approach to projects. I was put into a random group for a project that accounted for a majority of the grade. In my group, every member had their own ideas and opinions on the way the project should be completed which is great because every member was very involved in the assignment. However this caused problems among the group as the members couldn’t agree on a decision to be made about the project.…

Title Enrolling the EOF program has lighten up a path in life that would have gone completely undiscovered had I walked alone. Along the path was my introduction to college writing, a class that has improved my writing skills profoundly. At first the tasks given to us on the syllabus seemed daunting, almost insurmountable within the five-week period of the program; it seemed even more inconceivable with the class being only twice a week. However, with the guidance and instruction given to me by the professor and peers I was able to strengthen my work as a student.…

I believe that several of these services will help me throughout this program. The essay submissions section will probably be the most beneficial in the beginning as I learn a new writing style. The drop in tutoring will be very helpful when I just have a quick question or don't quite understand a particular problem. The resources will be very helpful as I do research for assignments, and maybe even to help me better understand a particular subject. As far as the help with resumes, I think this will be a key resource as this program comes to a close.…
