Tokyo Olympic in 1940 was also cancelled due to the influence of another war, Sino-Japanese War. This Olympic was supposed to be the first Olympic game which would have held in Asia, not in white western countries but colored nation. Tokyo was elected as the venue in 1936, but Japanese government decide the suspension of the game in July 1938 because of the unstable relationship with China and domestic and international disapproval opinions. After that, Helsinki was elected as an substitute venue at the first because it was the second candidate of the original venue election, but this was also called off due to the WWⅡ.

The news was very shocking because almost all Russian athletes were doubted to use the drugs and it seemed like organizational doping among the nation.
