In the speech “ What It Takes To be Number One” the summary of the speech is that we are all born to win and winning is not just a one time thing it is a habit. You should have the drive and will to want to be better and to want to fight to be the best you or the best at what you are doing. Coach Lombardis speech is effective because he is adressing the will and the want to win and what it takes to be a winner and make it a habit not just a one time thing. His speech should mean something to the audience because I believe everyone wants to win at life. He achieves this by using many rhetorical devices.
Some of the rhetorical devices he used were Logos because it is getting the point across clearly that you should do things right all the time not just a one time thing and you should win in life not just all the time the whole time. "Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit.
