Adler's theory was a theory of personality, where he claimed that every single person was unique and that people have the desire to reach our potentials and become a "perfect person". On the other hand, Frankl's theory was logotherapy, which was based on existential therapy, where all the problems that someone had, it would affect how a person approached their meaning of life. This is where logotherapy came in, helping people understand their meaning of life. There were 3 ways of finding the meaning of life; the meaning of suffering, the meaning of love and the meaning of existence. I think that humans for the most part are "basically good" because people may make a few mistakes here and there in their lives, but that's because they probably have something negative going on in their lives. The negativity in their lives is affecting them causing them to do bad things. This relates to Frankl's meaning of suffering. In the book, "Man's Search for Meaning," Frankl says, " We must never forget that we may also find meaning in life even when confronted with a hopeless situation, when facing a fate that cannot be changed." This quote is saying that even though something bad is going on in our lives doesn't mean we still can't find our meaning in life. People may make mistakes here and there, but that doesn't make us bad people, it just allows us to learn from our mistakes.
