Logos refers to logical reason and proof or evidence. Similarly, Pathos refers to feelings and emotional appeals whereas; Ethos refers to trust and credibility. The first video, “Drunk History- Claudette Colvin And Rosa Parks” was about the 15 years old black girl who was wearing an eye glasses. She was going home from school as usual. Suddenly, a white girl appears in the bus and says to move from their seat to Claudette and her friend because she was white. Claudette’s friend moved from her seat but Claudette did not. Instead she said, “I paid the same fare as you did. I am not leaving, If you want to have a seat then you can seat beside me”. White lady started to shout and denied to seat beside her. She had a discussion with the cops. She was not sorry for what she did so cops took her to jail. After the incident, she sends lots of letter to the secretary of the N.A.A.C.P, Rosa Parks. After reading her letter, Rosa went to meet Claudette. At the very first meeting, they started a conversation with each other and became good friends. Time passed and the president of N.A.A.C.P decided to start a bus boycott which would start a new revolution. He was planning to use Claudette’s arrest as a reason t boycott the buses. But question arises that; everybody would support her except white people. So, they decided to have Rosa Parks as the face of movement. Rosa Parks took a seat in the white section of bus and she was also taken to jail. But she was explaining that she was tired and was not threatening any white people. The white people were also supporting her as per the plan. Everybody including white people supports that she was tired and do not have any intension of threatening white people. Thomas Jefferson”, is about the friendship and the wars between two friends, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. This argument is logos. They were best friends for a long time. In an event, John shared what he thinks about the constitution. He thought that he could bend constitution in any direction as he wanted. But Thomas was opposing the Adams sentence. There relation was good until Adams became president. Adams made a rule that its illegal if you say any bad thing to president and should get punished. But Thomas believed that there should be freedom to speak. Both of them were ready to hurt each other feelings and emotions. This is a factor of pathos.
