Logical fallacy
In the logical fallacy below the billboard is trying to convince the reader that any atheist is also trying to bring america into another civil war. In this case, Pastor Brandenburg destroyed every possible future interaction with the Sikh community when in the conclusion of the flier he used the proselytization context saying "Without believing in Jesus Christ, you, my Sikh friend, will die in your sins, and in so doing, will be condemned to Hell forever. " Once again, this type of tension context in the flier by Brandenburg seems to be for the purpose of prejudice the Sikh community and their traditional beliefs towards their god. Besides of the malice purpose of the context in the flier, Brandenburg is also violating the equality of all religions in the United States; because we not just the Sikh community, have the right to practice any religion we want to peacefully coexist and respect with the acceptance of other peoples…

“One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” For decades, these immortal words have rung from the mouths of thousands of Americans every day. Around the classrooms of public schools, at the beginning of sports meets, in the opening of a military meeting, the “Pledge of Allegiance” brings Americans back to the good ole’ days of fighting for our freedoms, loving our neighbors and earning our equality. But can the “Pledge” promise freedom and fairness to all when the oath itself is discriminatory towards American minorities? Should a pledge that only references the Christian majority serve as the oath for America, a nation that prides itself on equality, tolerance, and justice?…

To Remain Under God Controversy spreads widely on a topic that has yet to be settled: the appropriateness of the expression “under God” in America’s national Pledge. Supporters of the saying believe that it instills a sense of safety, humbleness, and morality. They approve of the phrase whereas critics condemn it for its hostility. Contestants argue that the saying imposes a monotheistic conviction, a religious declaration, and the fear of out casting on an entire nation whose people are not all the same.…

As I’m sure most people are aware of, the Internet is often the breeding ground of idiots and illogical arguments. One fictional character that often (unfortunately) inspires said idiots and brings forth a whole host of inane logic, is one Scott McCall, or as he is often mockingly referred to, Werewolf Jesus. This nickname was brought forth by the way many of his fans treat him, as if he can do no wrong. Those critical of the character often point out his self-righteousness, his hypocrisy, his bizarrely naive way of trusting anyone, or his apparent ineptitude at being a leader. Whenever faced with these arguments, however, the fans always pull out their crushing final blow, their trump card.…

Morals Without God There are many theists in the world, whether they be Christian or Islamic, but they all believe in some form of god. Whether it be Allah or Ra, they still follow a “moral code of conduct,” instructed to them by the divine. However, atheists set morals based on those around them, and basic human principles.…

Christians living in America today are often told about how depraved society can be, and how the world is falling apart. Some remain lukewarm and apathetic while others do their part to try and improve the world. Still others have become bitter towards secularism, believing that the problems in this country stem from a lack of institutional religiosity. Many of these people proclaim that America would be a better place if only schools led prayer and taught the creation story. Yet these people seem to ignore the how it has been proven time and time again that religion and government never mix well, and in the case of the United States they have never really mixed that much at all.…
