Organization need resources in order to achieve this mission, vision, goals, and objective. Lockheed Martin has the critical resources needed to accomplish its mission, vision, goals, and objectives. In addition, those resources are being utilized effectively and leveraged for competitive advantage. The following is a summary and analysis of Lockheed Martin’s human, financial and technological resources, along with its physical assets.
Human Resources
Corporations, such as Lockheed Martin, face significant talented labor shortages. This shortage is the result of a number of factors including an aging workforce, declining birth rates, and greater competition for talented employees in an increasingly global economy. The workforce serves as a source of competitive advantage. The organization cannot achieve its mission, vision, and goals without its workforce. For instance, in the case of Lockheed Martin’s aircraft, it is the workforce of engineers that design the innovative aircraft solutions, assemblers and laborers that manufacture the aircraft, and the technicians that keep the aircraft well-maintained.
