Earliest Appearance: The Loch Ness Monster appears many times in history, dating back to even 565, sixth century AD(Wikipedia). Nessie’s first recorded appearance is in a book by Adomnán called Life of St. Columba. In this story, an Irish monk was staying in a motel in Loch Ness, and came across a funeral. The dead man was supposedly mauled to death by a creature in the Loch Ness lake. The monk, St. Columba, had one of his followers swim out to the famous ones was in 1945, when some people tracked an object following the machine through the water at 146 meters. While mysterious, the recording could have been faulty. Once, people used sonar to detect a giant object deep in the lake. Later, with better technology, people found that it was just algae and zooplankton blooming and growing.
