Misuse of the power has made the debate rise over recent years. Even the Texas political leaders have sued the government several times for the policies that are changing the Texas into the unrecognizable state but it continues to be ruling and running over recent years. Governor Greg Abbott also warned Texas as “it’s becoming Californianized and they are trying to stop any rules that would degrade the Texas future” (Rinaldi).

There has been a defendant for the local control which is a group of North Texan activists. A lobbyist talked on behalf of the House Energy Resource Committee defending their policy’s and rules. There have been many bills that are trying to be passed which could leave the people and the state to be in the unwanted situation. It’s up to the people who elect our representatives for the work to be done in the way people wanted it to be. Senate bill 440 had been introduced that would “restrict a county or municipality from fracturing treatment of oil and gas wells and the the use of the plastic bags have been banned in several cities” (Local Control). It was an effort to keep the cities clean for the people.
If Local Control can be updated with their new policies that would keep the Texas and Texans safe for the future then it would be really important to update and guide the lawmakers and the lobbyist to work for the people and the liberty of the Texas. Involving of the state government on the issue that rose for the local control and restricting on their policies would be kind of a little more involvement of the government but as the government stands for the people it is kind of a responsibility of the state government to look after the people for their better future and the future of the
