Did you know that a llama can spit up to eight feet? [National Geographic] That’s only one of llamas many characteristics, they are also very intriguing animals with interesting habitats diet and characteristics.
First off a llama has a very basic diet of shrubs, lichens, and grass. [The Llama] They need little water because of the herbs they consume. [National Geographic] Lamas, like other animals, regurgitate their food multiple times before finally digesting it [National Geographic] Overall llamas have a very basic diet. [National Geographic]

[Llamas as Pets] Llamas are very useful animals, their wool can be used for many household items such as ropes, rugs, and fabrics. [National Geographic] A llama’s hides can be used for leather. [National Geographic] Some countries even dry a llama’s waste then burn it and use it for fuel, [National Geographic] and some even killed for their meat. [National Geographic] Llamas have a unique way of making friends. When they want to become friends a llama projects the odorous contents at another llama. [National Geographic] Most llamas travel in small herds of 4-10 [The Llama], and only live to be around 15-16 years old. [National Geographic] Most weigh around 250 pounds [National Geographic] and is around 50-55 inches tall. [National Geographic] For the most part llamas do well with people and will do almost any heavy lifting [Llamas as Pets] [National Geographic], but when a llama has had enough it will hiss, spit, or even kick till the problem is solved
[National Geographic] Llamas may get testyt at times but overall they are well rounded animals. By doing this paper I learned a lot about llamas and enjoyed it while doing so.
