Did you know that a llama can spit up to eight feet? [National Geographic] That’s only one of llamas many characteristics, they are also very intriguing animals with interesting habitats diet and characteristics.
First off a llama has a very basic diet of shrubs, lichens, and grass. [The Llama] They need little water because of the herbs they consume. [National Geographic] Llamas have a unique way of making friends. When they want to become friends a llama projects the odorous contents at another llama. [National Geographic] Most llamas travel in small herds of 4-10 [The Llama], and only live to be around 15-16 years old. [National Geographic] Most weigh around 250 pounds [National Geographic] and is around 50-55 inches tall.
