Living Unleashed: A Blog Analysis

Improved Essays
You read that right. Living Unleashed is going to the dogs!

I'm sure at this point you are asking yourself, "What on earth is she talking about?" Let me explain.

Living Unleashed turned 1 year old in October. The dream to write and start a blog began several years before but we officially launched the blog in October 2014.

The launch was exciting and I received a ton of well wishes and positive comments. Over the past year many of you have shared encouragement or thanks for specific posts. And for that I am eternally grateful. However, sadly readership has also steadily dwindled during the course of the year.

As I evaluated Living Unleashed and what was next I had to answer a lot of tough questions. Why are less and less people reading?

Others have been praying for me too. I considered stopping writing all together and decided that was not an option.

I considered doing a makeover of the Living Unleashed website and freshing the writing. A definite possibility. But was that the best option?

And then the "what if" moment happened. Let me explain. I had originally thought about starting a blog about dogs when I began dreaming about blogging. I abandoned that idea for several reasons. First, I received advise that dog blogs were definitely not the way to go. Also, I was passionate about walking along with other believers in pursuing a vital and intimate relationship with Jesus. Thus Living Unleashed was born.

As much as I love writing Living Unleashed and as hard as it is to let go, the truth is, its time. This will be the final post to Living Unleashed.

Does that mean I am done blogging? No way! I told you there was a "what if". What if there was a different kind of dog blog? What if we could combine learning lessons about living and growing in our walk with Jesus through the lessons our dogs teach us with tips and information on how to care for and nurture our dogs? What if it can be a community's where we can share and learn from each

I'm excited about the possibilities that could happen and I hope you will be a part of this journey. You may be thinking, "But I don't own a dog. What could it possibly offer me?" My answer is sit, stay, and check it out. You won't know unless you try it on for size.

The initial plan it to publish two posts a week. One on Tuesday that will focus on God using dogs to teach us lessons and one on Thursday that will focus on tips for training, health, dealing with problems, and having fun with our dogs.

Having said all that it will take some time to retool and re-brand the site. I am hoping to have all the technical behind the scenes stuff done by the end of the year. If that can happen Pawsitively Friends will launch in January.

You Are Invited

I hope you will join me in this wild "what if" "only God" experiment. There are several ways you can do that. The first and most important is to pray. Pray that God will use this to to lead people to realize and reach their full potential in Jesus Christ. Pray that God will get all the glory and move in ways we can’t even imagine. And pray that dogs and their guardians will have an incredible of fulfilling

Not only was the price of Lou’s treatment exorbitant, but it was also completely unanticipated. A fresh college graduate at the time, Blake had slight experience in dealing with a sick pet, and even less resources for helping in Lou’s revival. Despite that, Blake was aggravated by his inexorable love for his dog and became strong-minded to get Lou anything he wanted. It believes that pet owners, like anyone as well, want advocates. Pet owners require a dependable network of peers they can rely on.…

The goal of any good screenwriter, or any writer really, is to grab the reader's attention and keep it until the end. Your goal for your blog should be exactly the same. From the minute the site visitor hits your landing page, his attention should be captured enough that he doesn't leave for a good long while. Like a good film that leaves you wanting to know more about the characters, view it again, or see the sequel, a good blog will draw in the visitor and make him bookmark your site and sign up for your mailing list.…

When raising or working with an animal, people often mistakenly treat the animal like they would a person, a not very bright person but a person nonetheless. This isn’t the best approach to training an animal and it’s an issue that Sophia Yin addresses in her book, “How to Behave So Your Dog Behaves”. Yin covers everything from the domestication of dogs to different techniques that can be used to teach dogs various tricks like sit- and down- stay. Dogs, it is learned as one reads the book, are much more complicated then we might realize. Research has shown that dogs have the same brainpower and level of understanding as a 2 year old human does (Smarter Than You’d Think, 2009).…
