Living Below the Poverty Line According to the National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) in the United States, there are 46.5 million people living under poverty. That means every one of six people in the Untied State are living in poverty. Poverty affects a person’s education, health and also affect the United States economy. The government should provide more resources and financial help for those who lives below the poverty line.
