Living on a dollar
Poverty is not an accident, like slavery and apartheid it is man made and can be removed by the action of human beings- Nelson Mandela. People all around the world are living on less than a dollar a day. We see in the documentary Living on a dollar how these people make it through life.
Through the movie we learn the uncertainty of these peoples income. How they never know if they will have the money they need. We also learned how much different a small loan can be to them. Such as rosa who turned a couple hundred dollars into a small business supporting her going back to school. We learn that what may be a pay check to us is the beginning of a new life for them by starting a constant stream of money. Money that could help them buy items needed such as medicine to get over a sickness or a reliable stove instead of just a fire. We learn how much we take for granted in our own lives. Items that we use in our everydays lives are thing that others can only dream of. Views will like the way the movie brings to light the important topic of poverty. It approached it in a way that was not overwhelming but very informative and a good way to show people the reality of poverty. Views will like the guy 's dedication to their experiment. They were in no way in conditions that they were use to and a lot of other people would of quit after a few weeks. Even tho the movie was well portrayed it didn 't make much of a person impact on me. I do tend to keep up to date…
