Everyone stares at me as if I just told them I like to strangle puppies in my free time. I finally start to look around at the people, I mean really look, they are all dressed like they live in medieval times, I mean it is hot and they are wearing full length skirts, long sleeved tunics, and corsets, the whole shebang. Standing straight the people gasp again and then start to whisper, and I keep hearing the words, “strange clothing.” What was once silent horror suddenly turns to loud excitement. The crowd descends on me, they all want to help me up, to dry me off, or to just touch me. I keep hearing the words; “savior,” and “prophecy” spread through the crowd like the plague. Yep, they are a bunch of nuts. Standing shivering as I try to cover as much of myself as I can, I sniffle, feeling suddenly very exposed.

I try to think back to before I fell in the fountain, what was I doing? I was walking in the forest, when I saw this waterfall, then after that everything seems so blurred and unreal. This clearly isn’t the campsite just off the road in Idaho City, this is a completely different world. I just want to know how I got here. I just feel so tired and defeated. Taking a deep breath I look at the crowd, “Can anyone hear tell me how I got

The Crevasse “Adversity is the source of our deepest growth and greatest blessings; embrace it, dare to seek It,” that was a quote from Aron Ralston, who fell down a crevasse and his arm was wedged under a rock, which inspired the movie “127 Hours.” One day I was going to the creek with my friends, Matthew and Kendal, to hang out. We had this amazing spot that had a bridge that we made and everything. We were bringing further supplies to add on to the spot and make it look more visually appealing. So much to talk about with the fifth season primer of GoT: we see Cersei as a child (she hasn’t changed much), Tyrion split for Pentos and the voyage wasn’t what he’s accustomed to, ruling Meereen is hard for Daenerys, and Jon has deal with two kings over at the wall. We get our first flashback of the series and it turns out little Cersei is just as bratty and entitled as big Cersei. Little Cersei and her BFF are tramping through the wet woods of Casterly Rock to find Maggy the Frog – a sexy scary fortune teller. When Maggy tells Cersei that everyone wants their future told until they hear it, Cersei sweetly informs Maggy that she’s living on Lannister land and if the fortune teller doesn’t tell her future right this instant Cersei will have her daddy gouged out her “two boring eyes”.…

I honestly do not known if I would have stayed Catholic if I had lived in the late sixteenth century. I would have likely been baptized Catholic and more than likely have been poor. I would have bought indulgences to save myself and my loved ones. I would have never read the Bible and would not known what was happening during the mass. I think that I might have fallen for a different religion that said that I do not have to buy indulgences and that I could actually understand what was going on during mass.…

I’ve always had the impression that fairytales were innocent stories of finding true love and living happily ever after, like the way Disney depicted them to be. I never thought about where these stories came from and the different themes and symbols that were relevant of that time. Some of the things I’ve learned about fairytales have not only shocked me, but has also made me reevaluate everything I know about fairytales. Something I never knew about fairytales is that they weren’t always for children. I’ve always associated them with a younger audience so thinking that these stories were written for adults enjoyment is really crazy to believe.…
