The job opportunities, however, are much different. The farming industry is the main source of income available in the Lavaca. Portsmouth, on the other hand, offers a wide variety of opportunities in the military, industrial, and service sectors.
Some people may argue that country life is better than city life. It is just a difference in preference. After experiencing both city and country lifestyles, I have found that Portsmouth, Virginia has more ways of enriching my life than living in Lavaca,

While it is true that a big city affords the opportunity to meet a much larger range of different people of different backgrounds, there is a certain comfort that comes from living in a small society where everybody knows everybody else. I spent a period of my own childhood in a small country town, and I vividly recall how warm it felt to be greeted by name (and to know the name) of almost every person I met on the street on a daily basis. In addition, this closeness also generates things like greater safety and an earlier sense of responsibility. People in small towns tend to look out for the other people they know living there, and are more careful in their own behavior – knowing full well that any…

Living in a country or in the city has both good sides and bad sides. By choosing one place for living we give up from something else. Both the country and the city have different life and different habbits, but both have something to offer, whether is good or bad. Most researches that i've read, state that people who are born and raised in the country, especially young people, want to move to the big cities because they think that they will gain more respect in the eyes of the other people, or they think that moving to the cities will instantly give them jobs, and they will make money. On the other hand, researchers say that people who have been living in the big cities since their birth, dream of moving in the country because they will live…
