Truthfully my budget would not have to change at all for me to live at the poverty level. I have lived at poverty level for years as a single mom. Although I am not a single parent now we still live at poverty level while I attend school. There are times that I have cut down to the bare minimums no cable, live in low rent apartment, and budget meals for week. Having to make decisions on what to cut is difficult. I start by getting rid of all the luxuries first such as cable, eating out, going to movies, or vacations. Then you start eliminating which basic you absolutely cannot afford.
