Humans are hopeful animals with incredible imaginations who throw away their powers and leave a chaotic mess behind. Also, humanity is a historic repetition and is full of people who know what they want and believe in but are weak minded and cowards. People have their own views on how life should be. But sitting back is not going to do anything and that is all we do. We sit back and talk about the problems of the country or even the world but we just let it happen anyway. We tend to hide behind the people who are bold enough to voice their opinions but when it comes to voicing your own opinion, we are weak minded and cowards. In Matthew Huston’s article Living a Lie: We Deceive Ourselves to Better Deceive Others, it is said that, “We dupe ourselves in order to deceive others, creating social advantage.” Instead of working together, why do we compete against one another? In The Road they are going through a time where the world is a chaotic mess, but the man still tries his hardest to keep him and the boy safe. Before her suicide in The Road, the wife had stated that, “the boy was all that stood between him and death.” There were plenty moments where the man knew the day something bad were to happen to him or the boy was going to approach but he did not throw away his life, he kept striving. He had a responsibility and he believed that he was the protector of the boy. He fought for what he believed in throughout the whole novel. Alone he was nothing but together he was something. This is something America has trouble understanding. Together we are powerful but that does not mean that when you are separated you can silence your opinions you spoke so strongly on when around people. The times we are alone are the exact moments we need to project our voices even louder. Show that you have the courage to change the world and put a stop to this ongoing life repetition alone, or with
