It doesn’t seem to be hurting the students in fact I feel it benefits the students in a far superior way. With their model students who are go getters can go and finish high school and get on with the rest of their lives while if there are students who my struggle in school can take their time and get the extra help they really need. There are no definite way students should get their education when I was younger I felt that there was I though you went through public school then straight to a university and there was no other way to do it. I could not have been more wrong there are all sorts of alternative schools that can get you to where you want to go be it home school, all girl/boy school, and Live Oak Academy would fall into this category as well. Taking from my own experience I went from high school to community college and now I will be going to Texas State University in the fall people put this stigma on community college that its bad for you when in fact it was smart because I got the same credits at a cheaper cost. Much like how the students at Live Oak have a stigma that if you go there you must be stupid when that’s not the case everyone at Live oak has a reason for being there and in the end they will get the same diploma just like the students who go to public schools. There could be a parent who doesn’t what their student associated with other students because those students are a certain religion and there could be an issue with certain religious or culture articles of clothing that could cause an uproar which I for see I may have to deal with I hope that society will be more accepting of this but it’s still better to be prepared for anything. I would plan to overcome this be making the golden rule my number one rule in my class and not tolerate any form of discrimination of any kind towards students who may participate in a certain culture or religious
