to try to work with “Mr. Johnathan Miller”, but he is a very hard person to work with. We have had numerous scheduled appointments in which majority of them were canceled by Mr. Miller or cut short because he had me meet him at the circuit courthouse in Elkton, MD on the days he had trials. He then would reschedule with me, “Promising we’d have more time to go over my case”, but again the same thing would occur, or “He would cancel and make an excuse why he could not show up for our meetings.” This has been a common theme when it comes to dealing with Mr. Miller. Sleep deprivation or falling asleep while driving has caused more driving deaths than drug and alcohol use combined. Substance Crime Penalties In an effort to help curb dangerous substance related incidents, I would recommend a Federal mandate dictating how possession, OWI, and DUI charges are handled. The mandate would transform current penalties for each of these into more productive sentences. This policy would help prevent relapse and, in turn, recurring incarceration. This mandate would also help protect those who could be directly affected by the actions of those with substance abuse issues.…

In 1998, a nursing shortage began due to the confluence of several factors that were, at the time, unknown. The lack of nurses is becoming apparent and putting out negative effects for the world to see through the registered nurses habits in caring for these patients. Hospital administrators suggested higher wages and increased training for nurses; however, efforts to provide these did not end the shortage. The controversy here is higher wages cannot make up for being intensely overworked, causing severe exhaustion and job dissatisfaction…but some people are still trying to increase wages without reducing workload. Because many aspects of society are affected, the nursing shortage has become a concern among hospital administrators.…
