In the book, His Work & His World, Michael Rosen pointed out that, “Though the movie industry came about quickly, it did not come out of nowhere: it was, in part, based on other kinds of entertainment that were already around — like plays and music hall shows” (Rosen, 42). In the early state of human societies, people could hardly find any means for entertaining while struggling to survive. During Elizabeth I and James I, the rich and royals fell in love with plays and theaters; and Shakespeare was the most fruitful playwright because of his great number of works and unique combinations among comedies, tragedies, Roman plays, romances, and so on.
