After his big novel was published, he started writing more novels. He wrote, “This Side of Paradise” as stated above, in 1922 which was based off Zelda, and how Zelda made him feel. After this was published in 1920 Fitzgerald became very wealthy. Zelda finally said yes to Fitzgerald proposal and they exchanged wedding vows at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral on April 3, 1920. Fitzgerald started becoming a more and more popular author, he started writing more novels. He begin to write a novel that became the most famous novel he had ever written in 1922 called: “The Great Gatsby”. This famous novel was based on Fitzgerald’s life and the obstacles he had overcame, but there was a slight twist to make the book more dramatic. “The Great Gatsby” was written in a third person point of view and was narrated by Nick Carraway, Gatsby neighbor. Fitzgerald was an average guy who got lucky and became rich by his talent in writing, while Gatsby did whatever it took to become rich. Gatsby never gets married due to the fact that he was so obsessed over Daisy he didn’t want anyone else. While, Fitzgerald dated other women and even got engaged to another women before Zelda. Zelda and Fitzgerald had a rough marriage, but they stuck together and had kids. Gatsby was not liked because of his wealth and people blamed him for stuff he didn’t even do. People blamed him so much he was shot and killed in his own pool by a jealous man who claimed Gatsby killed his wife. Yet, Fitzgerald was rebellious but smart, he knew how to make people happy.
