At the beginning of the film we see the arrogance of the police officer- Little Bill Daggett, the weakness of the cold blood killer- William “Will” Munny. The protagonist- Will was a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition. He killed women and children. However, he changed. He stopped stealing, killing and leaves with his families peacefully in the countryside. The reason that he changed is his wife- Claudia, who already dead for three years and never appears in the movie. However we feel her everywhere and she is everywhere. This is the glamour of Unforgiven. We feel the gentleness of the never appeared Claudia at every moment. The audience never know how is Claudia, how does she look like, what’s the story between Will and her and why she fell in love with a cold blood killer.
