Literacy Intervention Reflection

This past summer, I volunteered for the Adams 12 Summer Literacy Intervention program that supports fifty kindergarten and first-grade students in need of extra literacy support. I helped lead three stations; computer games, student read aloud, and individual writing. Because I assisted with the smaller practice centers, the interventionists were able to dedicate their time and energy to helping each individual student overcome their individual challenges with specific techniques and strategies. However, the greater impact was helping the kids improve their literacy abilities.
