Listening To Country Music Research Paper

Music has always been a big part of my life. My mom would always have nursery rhymes playing in the house when we were young. When I was 9 years old I started playing the piano. I have learned to fall in love with playing the piano. I played for 9 years and every year I would start to like it more and more. Now as an 18-year-old I have found a passion for listening to music. Whether it be listening to it while getting ready in the morning, in the car, on a run, I love listening to music whenever I can. The beats and rhythm of music is enjoyable to listen to, but I love listening to the lyrics the most. Some of the words in certain songs really touch me and relate to my life. They have it playing around the house all the time and because of that I have learned to love it myself. Country music gives me a sense of where I belong. No, I don’t live in a rural area, but listening to country music makes me feel like I’m at home with my dad. The tune and beat of country music is so fun! It makes me feel like driving with the windows rolled down in the summer heat. It makes me feel happy! Also, the lyrics are so relatable. Everyone always thinks it’s strange that I like country music because I’m not a cowgirl, but I feel like I relate to the lyrics so well. There is lyrics about everything from first loves to heartbreak to patriotism to long work days and to just having a good time. Another positive thing about country music is that it is easy to sing along to. None of the country singers are too hard to understand, so that makes it easy to sing right along.
