When a person thinks about an amateur detective they often think of a heterosexual sexual male that is intelligent and may or may not be retired but they do have money. But what they do not think of is a bisexual female that keeps to herself and also happens to be an intelligent hacker. This female amateur detective is Lisbeth Salander from, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, film. Lisbeth clearly falls into the category of a diverse amateur detective just by what is stated above. There are many things that make this film and Lisbeth unique. Lisbeth fits into the category of amateur detective rather than the other two types of detectives.
