Lisa Simpson: The Iconic Feminist

I was named after Lisa Simpson, the iconic feminist from the hit television show, The Simpsons. Ironically, we both share extremely similar personalities. I was always amused about this fact about myself because my life wouldn't have been possible without my mom's unconditional love.

My mother had both me and my older sister before the age eighteen. Being so young and pregnant again, many relatives pressured my mom to abort me. Of course she denied every comment concerning that issue because it was her body, her choice.

Growing up, My sister and I were extremely obedient and genuinely considerate kids. I've always admired my mom's strong and free will. She has always emphasized the importance of being independant and to never depend on
