When there is a buzz coming out of the lip balm industry, you know it has to be really big news. Although EOS, Evolution of Smooth, has been making a name for themselves over the last few years, the introduction of the new vegan flavored lip balm has everyone going crazy. This new lip balm product appeals to those who are already loyal EOS customers and those who have been unable to enjoy the lip balm in the past due to certain ingredients. The clear vegan crystal flavored lip balm appeals to a wider global audience that has been responding by wiping the shelves of the new EOS product faster than it can be produced.

At only $5.49 per package, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that stock was wiped clean in one day. According to information that was later posted on the EOS website, customers were still able to buy the vegan crystal flavors at their local Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, or Target stores. Those stores saw a rush of sales of the EOS products soon after the EOS website was sold out of the vegan crystal flavors.

Looking back only a few years, Chapstick was the leader when it came to retail lip balms. Chapstick was a mainstay on supermarket and drug store shelves for over a century, and in all that time, those cylindrical tubes of lip balm felt kind of clinical, tasteless, and lacking personality. Those boring sticks were replaced seven years ago by the pastel-colored lip balm orbs produced by EOS, and due to immediate popularity, they began popping up in just about every store across the country. They started in Walgreens and Walmart, and by the time they were in Target, beauty editors at Allure and Cosmo were already singing the praises of the grapefruit and honeydew lip balm
