Power of good and evil in The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Introduction:
Shouts of fear are heard. Cries of injury are heard. The army falls back in retreat, for they are outnumbered. This may sound terrible, but it is a battle. A battle for the fight of who may rule. The story being spoken of is the battle of Narnia in The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The battle in this story, however, results in a new rulers for Narnia, and an end to the evil reign of the white witch. He spoke about what Christians believe and Christian behavior ("The Question of God"). During the 1950s, he was widely known around England as a religious Icon, with many works reflecting on faith such as The Screwtape Letters, and The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. These works were beloved by many, and considered his masterpieces. Both writings deal with faith during hard times ("C.S. Lewis"). Even though Lewis' life does seem to be going well with all his fame and influence, his life takes a turn for the worse. His wife died, which caused his health to greatly decline. Although another death in his life took place, his faith of God was not shaken ( "The Question of God"). Unfortunately, he died on November 22, 1963, the same day as John Kennedy was shot and killed. Although he may be gone, his legacy carries and his works are still beloved by many. He was a very active christian later in his life. Macready, the Pevensie children run to the wardrobe, where all four of them get to Narnia, and apologize to Lucy. They decide to follow Lucy, and meet Mr. Tumnus. When they get to his house, it is ripped apart, with a note that says he has been taken to the "queen's" castle by the chief of police. There they meet Mr. Beaver, a beaver that can talk. The beaver brings them to his home. There they meet Mrs. Beaver. They make dinner and discuss the prophecy of Cair Paravel, and who Aslan is. The prophecy of Cair Paravel is this: "When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone sits in Cair Paravel in throne, the evil time will be over and done" which means the 2 sons of Adam (Peter, and Edmund) and two daughters of Eve (Susan, and Lucy) will end the reign of the White Witch. Also, Aslan is a lion, who is king of all, and will lead the four into battle if necessary (which it
