Who would have thought a free software could make such a huge impact on computers and the way it is used today. The open operating systems gives its users the freedom to change things and develop programs that people needed or that the user who wrote it needs to do some task. You cannot contribute open sourcing to just one person but the biggest contributor to open source is Linus Torvalds who created Linux. Linus Torvalds' creation of the Linux operating system was a great improvement to the computing universe. When the operating system and all the pieces fell into place small companies like Linux were able to compare to the huge corporation that includes Microsoft which was created by Bill Gates. Torvalds' contribution to the open software movement Linux distributors such as the Redhat Linux has capitalized through their stock and worldwide use. Many people would be shocked at what he has done, but he has no hard feelings because it is what he loved to do. In all honesty, I think he is satisfied with what he has done because he is an innovator and people are still using his invention today even if we do not recognize it. Many people do not get credit for what they have done for open source operating systems but everyone had a big part in it, which includes Linus Torvalds and Richard Stallman. These big names are still heard of today and have made a pretty good living even if they did these big improvements for free
