Linnéa is standing by the double glass sliding door, watching the snowflakes slowly settling on the ground. Linnéa has always loved snow, she has countless memories of her and her best friend playing in the snow since they were little. Now she is watching the snow creating a soft blanket for the grass. It is Christmas and the lugubrious news Linnéa just found out is about to change her life. Her dad’s work had just finished building a new factory where they wanted him to work. The new factory is located in a different country. This resulted in the entire family having to move. After Linnéa found this out she went through a full spectrum of emotions. First is sadness. She was sad because she would have to leave all of her friends, family and memories behind. However, after giving the information some time to process she felt excited. While the driver helps Linnéa’s family load up with their baggage, she walks and sits down in the taxi immediately. She closes the door, puts her elbow up on the window and rests her face on her hand while taking a quick glance at her house for the last time. It is a pretty house. The white, rectangle shaped house is what contains all of her childhood memories, bad and good. The bushes surrounding their yard, she had helped to plant. The brown fence, separating their yard from their next door neighbor was what she would use as a platform to jump into their blow up pool. And the grass surrounding the house was where Linnéa and all of her friends would play tag when they were younger. She had to stop her thoughts because she was getting too deep into her thoughts. She would have never thought that this house is so powerful. Tears started streaming down her face, as the rest of her family got in the car.
