Lindenwold High School Observation Report

At Lindenwold High School, mostly everyone has the GUMPTION to move on, even though there are some students who simply do not care about their education. Lots of kids are smart enough to receive an ACCOLADE for their hard work. Recently, the students who worked their way to Honor Roll, received an accolade of a breakfast in the cafeteria. There are a lot of different clique´s here also, which makes them unique in their own way. Many of the students here show their BRAVADO either with their new shoes, phones, or other accessories. Lindenwold High School is a great school, well, at least in my

Each event was worth a certain amount of points. Thus the more activities the student participated in, the more points they could accumulate.…

20 Years Ago El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas 8:30 a.m. It was an unusually chilly and foggy day for September in Texas. Millie got out of her white Aleko and grabbed her yellow knit sweater that was draped across the passenger seat. She was reaching for her backpack, which was in the back seat of her car, when the first bell rang. Millie raced across the parking lot, up the concrete steps, and pulled the heavy door to the rustic brick building open.…

Throughout my four years at Horn high school, I have noticed that many students at JHHS show an abundance of school spirit. For example, for every football game the student section decides what to be worn. My friend Brett made a twitter page for the students of Horn to tell students when to wear their senior shirts or Last Friday, we played Mesquite we were told to wear white and to splatter the skeeters. In addition, on pep rally days we have a certain theme that we follow. Two themes that we’ve had this year was a USA theme and neon theme.…

At St. Jude day school I was a volunteer where I helped distribute the meals for the kids, give them snacks entertain the kids and clean up after. This day school is a church in neighborhood where many people use to put their kids in while they go to work. During the summer I would volunteer where there would be almost 50 kids in the summer camp. It was so chaotic at times. I accomplished gaining great friendships with many kids and teachers that I could never forget.…

My time at Barnegat High School has helped me to become who I am today and will most defiantly impact what I will do in the future. The teachers and my peers have all been an influence on my life and during the four years that I spent at the school, I have done some things for the school and the community as a way to thank them for giving me the opportunities that they have. It was they who pushed me to keep trying and striding to succeed and without them, I would not have accomplished what I have today. One of the things that I am most proud of doing is helping to bring new clubs and activities to Barnegat High School. This year, with the help of other students and advisors, a new club made it into the ranks of the diverse sea of clubs and groups that already exist.…

During the months of January and February, I observed the theatre tech class at Valley Center High School. The tech class includes Edie Reese, Conner Peterson, Madison Isham, Pattanun ‘Bell’ Punjanun, Michael Charvat, Chris Paul, Jacque Toews, Sabrina Gamblin, Ashlyn Pollard, Trace Tobin, Tommy Brown, Janett Duerksen, Kaitie Showalter, and me. We meet everyday during fourth hour, which is from 10:38 to 11:30. I chose my tech class to observe because it is a social group that I see every single day and it is about half the size of my normal classes. We also have some of the same values; we want to build things fast, but also make sure they are built safely and we all enjoy discussing different movies while working.…

There was never a dull moment due to the wide range of diversity, talent, and personalities of students. I made amazing lifelong friends that appreciated my presence, ideas, and personality. The entire student body participated in deep discussions over a wide range of topics including beliefs, injustice, and conflicts in our society. Everyone treated other’s contributions with respect and consideration of their ideas and views. Each discussion and activity opened my eyes to recognize meaningful things that society normally overlooked.…

My high school community is unique and incredible in that it is inclusive. It was the best decision of my life to attend Xaverian Brothers High school, despite what failures I encountered. Entering high school my grandmother had just passed away and my family was in a large feud; I was lost and had no confidence. The community my high school established allowed me to find my niche and gain confidence. I discovered in high school that I am a service oriented and extremely driven student.…

Middle Grades are probably the most difficult grades to get through for everyone. During this time of physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and moral development for these students learning about the history of Georgia is literally the last thing they think about, if they even really think about it at all. These students are some of the most difficult students to keep their attention focused on the subject matter at hand, unless of course we are discussing them, then and only then will the teacher get their full attention. During the observation assignment I noticed a few of the developmental theories that correlated with the five developmental stages of middle school students: Bronfenbrenner, Erikson, and Hall.…

Hardworking, trustworthy, selfless, determined, and helpful… I believe that I have demonstrated these qualities exceptionally throughout my high school career. A glimpse at my exquisite grades that I have kept in four years of challenging classes reveals not only my effort, but my endless determination as well. Despite all of the energy that I directed towards my own success at school, I was always willing to help others who struggled in their classes, especially in math and science. Also, I put time and effort into my extracurricular activities in order to benefit my school’s community. I painted a mural of the Mt. Hope Bridge to beautify a conference room, helped plan countless events for the entire student body, from spirit weeks to…

My high school experience has allowed me to be a part of the band, choir, theatre, and Spanish programs. These experiences have all shown me unique aspects of my life and the lives of those around me. Because I was homeschooled until ninth grade, I never got a real chance to be a part of the community like I did when I became a freshman. Throughout my high school career, I have learned many things like music, Spanish, and how to treat other people. At Vicksburg High School, all three of these things go hand in hand.…
