Linda Walker And Tom Walker: A Short Story

Linda Walker and her husband, Tom Walker, had a great life. Neither ever cheated on each other even when they both had the chance. They had everything they ever needed or wanted. They lived in a very cared for house with many other houses surrounding theirs. They also had a lot of beautiful trees that surrounded the house. A very healthy horse, with nice clean hair, and their friendly hound dog lived in the cute little barn up a small lane from their home.

Linda’s husband, Tom, was a very mouthy and rude, fierce tempered kinda man. Linda always looked past that to keep her relationship strong with the man she had always loved. After many years she started to wonder how she could change her husband’s bad traits.

Linda loved the lands she lived around and would walk to the market, sometimes daily just to breathe in the fresh air and nature. On this particular day she decided to take the long way home down the river to the next bridge that was at least a half mile out of her way. She needed more time away from Tom today because he was in one of his moods again. While walking along the river she found herself a few yards from a bobcat, or what looked to be a bobcat. Tom fell to his knees in tears. He apologized for all the mean things he ever said to her or anyone else for that matter. She told him the story about Stan and the way she had been feeling. Tom had seen Stan a few times and at one point admitted he had tried to shoot him. But Stan had never mentioned it to Linda. Stan knew that Tom was just like him. He looked like something bad but had a good heart and was helping him to realize that for himself. Tom, nor Linda, ever saw Stan again but thought about him often. They both knew Stan had saved their marriage and made them happier than they ever knew they could
