According to the “Writing for an Audience” article, the author, Linda S. Flower argues that an effective writer should make audiences able to “see things as you see them”, therefore in order to minimize the gap between the writer and readers, it is necessary to identify the differences between the writer and audiences and reduce the differences through the written work. There are three aspects that a writer should pay attention, which are readers’ knowledge, their attitude towards a topic, and their needs.
