The Lincoln Preparatory School was previously known as Grambling State University Laboratory School. It was a public high school operated by the Lincoln Parish School Board in Grambling Louisiana (Lincoln Preparatory School - FAQ. 2017). However, dating back in history, from 1984, the Grambling State University lab schools had never fully compiled with court desegregation orders (Lincoln Preparatory School - FAQ. 2017). As a result, the 1966 desegregation case was revived by the Department of Justice (Lincoln Preparatory School - FAQ. 2017). In its 2011 court filing case, (The United States of America v. Lincoln Parish School Board et al) (GSU response 2011) it was asserted that the schools were, "a lasting vestige of the de jure segregation
