Especially, when workers were required to verify the legality of documentation for work, immigrants had to obtain domestic, construction, gardening or any type of job that didn’t required legal documentation. In addition, this term not only cleated restrictions to enter to this nation, but also limits their access to work opportunities. In my opinion, media plays an important role in the America society because of the negative exposure of violent crimes committed by certain felons, is generalized by the hold Hispanic and Latino community. Moreover, media is not objective because it only shows what they want to hear and believe, but they don’t show how many immigrants are in the U.S. to work in order to provide for their families. Generalizing or having a program that advocates for discrimination and racism against immigrants clearly affects the image and public opinion about them. In addition, the video described a Margaret creating movements against illegal immigrants. Margaret mentioned based her arguments against illegal immigrants in a incident that one Mexican killed a pregnant woman in an accident and men whistled females in a 7/11. She used this two arguments to create a movement against illegal immigrants workers, especially intimidating contractors by taking pictures and recording when they were trying to provide job for them. In addition, she also created an environment of fear among the community.
