This shows for many young moms or youth who are alone that they are not the only ones going through this dilemma. Being given responsibility at a young age only makes you appreciate what you have and whom you have. The heart of family is also very incorporated through the Hawaiian theme. Disney makes a great impression on how family is important and sometimes that is the only people you have whoever you consider family. Struggles of being alone will only make you stronger and that many things happen for a reason. For example there was a reason why Lilo met Stitch, to help her open up grow and get away from the loneliness she felt from her parents death. Stich might have been a troubled creature but he brought Lilo and Nani together closer then they were already were. The music in this film also incorporates how culture ties into family. The culture of Hawaiian music brings Hawaiian families together as one to celebrate life and what they have. Not for materialistic things but for their presence. You ain’t no Friend of mine”. Being in the audience as well we understand her pain and her emotions because this happens all the time. People are bullied daily by those who cause pain and are nothing but cruel to others. Another princple that Claudia Gorbmans ties in with the film Lilo and Stich is the 5th principle Continuity. The way the music is set up is in continuity because there is a certain order these songs come out during dialogues between the characters. It fills a gap where it leaves the audience to begin to think what is going to happen next. While the audience begins to think what will happen next in the scene, Hawaiian music is being played so that we understand more of the movie and the background. The music fills a gap/ during transitions. The last principle that Claudia Gorbman has in common is the 6th principle Unity. This movie is all about unity not only in the theme but in the music as well. The music seems to
