They mean the world to me and I would be devastated if any harm came to them. On my mother’s side of the family I never had the opportunity to meet my grandfather due to his death in 1982. He died from a terrible heart attack, leaving my grandma alone to raise four girls and two boys. The death of her husband did not stop her in creating six very successful adults, who will pass down what they have learned to me, my siblings, and my cousins. On the other hand, my father grew up with a much more difficult life. My grandfather, whom I have not met (died in 1979), had four wives, leaving my father with sixteen brothers and eighteen sisters. This caused a lot of tension between family members from mother’s only respecting and loving their blood children to fights about who was the better mom/child, and sending certain kids to boarding school. Over the years, they have helped me through thick and thin, being by my side through the good times and the bad times. I can improve each relationship in my family by communicating with each member on a regular basis, keeping that healthy relationship alive. Family members communicate with each other. More importantly, they take time to listen to each other and understand others’ concerns. The feelings of others are important to them. Developing a family is an important aspect everyone should have in their life because it can help you in creating a stable structure of trust and dependence. Having a family is knowing you have a group of people that are willing to sacrifice their time, in order for you to be happy. I know who my family is and I am positive the size of my family will increase over the years. This will make me stronger in everything I do because I know I am going to make people who care about me very proud of my future
