Lillian’s Garden Assisted Living Facility is located in Guilford County at 403 Banner Avenue, Greensboro NC 27401. This location was chosen because of its population in Baby Boomers. There are close to 9,783 Baby Boomers (ages 60-100) living within this area. This location is an ideal location because the facility is nine miles away from Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and a countless number of doctor’s and specialist’s practices. There are several retirement homes in a 5.7 to 7.1 miles radius. Brookdale Lawndale and Abbottswoods Living Park are both among the retirement homes that are within said radius. This facility is in close proximity to downtown Greensboro, Grasshopper Stadium, Friendly Shopping Center, and much more.

The speaker thinks back on his or her father’s work, his hobbies, and his education in this poignant tribute. With the author’s use of metaphors, similes, and alliteration, the poem emerges as a cautionary tale to show the impact of industrialization. With an extensive use of metaphors, Wagoner emphasizes the environment the father works in each day. To begin with, the speaker describes his father’s workplace as an “open hearth” (line 1).…
