Lilli Ahopelto's Monologue

Decent Essays
Hi Rudin,

Thanks for letting me know of your upcoming run-through. No I'm not sick and tired at all, I am excited for you (tired maybe lol). If I would live closer I wouldn't have to think about it at all, even with the Rose Bowl on at the same time. I am not surprised the maestro would not like to have anybody at the rehearsal, I was actually thinking of asking for myself, but I dismissed the thought for that reason, remember in London they didn't like it either. Thanks for willing to Skype, but under the circumstances, I will go to the Rose Bowl. I told you I was very taken by Lili Ahopelto (although I couldn't remember any names again) that won the piano competition to play in the Rose Bowl and last night she won the piano competition

The next analyzed for this study is the biography that was approved by Lili’uokalani’s Hanai daughter, Lydia, and written in 1982 by Helen G. Allen, The Betrayal of Liliuokalani: Last Queen of Hawaii 1838-1917. Allen’s text builds upon the autobiography because it also utilizes diaries and other personal papers of Lili’uokalani and it expands of Lili’uokalani’s life past the end date of the autobiography. With that said, this biography must be strictly analyzed because Allen utilized sources that no other person could or can access. She also contradicts herself in regards to her sources: on page 277 of the text, Allen states that the Queen stopped writing in her diary in August of 1892 for reasons unknown and that there were no other diaries accessible for study, but on page 376, discusses how the diaries written between 1901 and 1906.…
