Is spending too much time on social media cites like Facebook is good for you? We all are attached to our smart phones, not just for their traditional duty but to check our social network status. This new way of communication changed the way we interact with each other, learn about social issues and in some cases do businesses. However, as any human made society it has its own disadvantages. As we all hear these days we humans are lonelier than ever before and some of us may blame it on social activities and the time we spend in our social life. Therefore, we can assume with all the time we spend checking our pages, updating our status, finding and posting new pics from our daily activities and interests there wouldn’t be much more free time to spend with others around us. We 'll lose our life moments to posting pictures, updating status, and liking others people post, who even don’t really care. In these days at social gathering it is not strange to walk in party and find people from any ages being busy with their devices, probably posting or updating on Facebook. Other example of this would be the time on the table, the first thing comes in mind is grabbing the cellphones to take a pictures for Facebook or Instagram. Many of us even see our children growing in front of us through the camera lenses just because we want to have a pictures to post in social media. Maybe I am doing some exaggeration, but in many cases it is true. Furthermore, using Facebook daily is so addictive, and honestly it’s all waste of time. Nobody really cares about how others doing in their life or what they thinking, it is just exploring in others people life to spending time, noting more. Think about how long we spend on these sites each day, and what other productive thing we can do with our time and with our family and loved …show more content…
Although you can arrange the settings to only certain people can access your profile, but other people can search your name and find you. The other privacy threat to concern when using Facebook is about data which Facebook collecting from us, like locations, the time we spending in sites and later Facebook use or sell this information to advertising company and others. Moreover, this happens time to time that we share something publicly we rather only certain people could see. For example, pictures, plans, information, and etc. One mistake- shared with thousands- could lead to personal, professional, financial, and reputational losses that could significantly change the trajectory or outcome of your future. For example, the information we never want to share with our employee or our college like what happen in last night party or something like that which could impact our career. With all this said, some may say we should not forget about how social media and Facebook have changed our lives and our communication in positive ways as well. It sure did. It has connected humanity like never before. Life is unpredictable, with events like moving apart from families we can get the feeling being out of the loop, but having connection with them through social media is a big
