The setting of the ad is a big recording studio. The ad starts off by playing music. Drake, the famous rapper, is inside of the recording booth preparing himself to record a song. However, he seems to be nervous, so he takes his headphones off and placed them down on a table. Right after he does that, the producer stops the music and asks him, “Hey, what's up?” Drake answers “I’m just not feeling it.” The producer looks down at the board. At that moment, Drake runs his left hand down his face and with the same hand, he gives a signal to the producer (like saying play the music again). The producer plays the song again, but this time he adjusts the volume. Drake looks at the table he has in front of him and grabs a Sprite, then he opened it and start drinking. After drinking some Sprite, Drake’s body reassembles into normality, helping unleash Drake's lyrical prowess with the delivery of the song intro line, “Last name Ever, First name greatest, like a Sprite spark. Nothin’ to play with.” When he says, “Like a Sprite spark” a bottle of Sprite appears on the back, and it seems that the soda is splashing over the camera. …show more content…

Then, Drake begins to describe Sprite with a mixture of words to highlight its greatness. In the beginning, Drake could not sing, but that does not mean that his ability to sing would return by drinking a sip of Sprite. These elements correspond to the fallacy I have identified since the first thing that happened did not cause the second

Firstly, the ad creates a very somber mood due to covering a sensitive subject, the natural disasters of the past year. The use of the song “Stand By Me” is perhaps the most notable, as it is a slower and more soulful then the original song by Ben King, and that is surely not by accident. The ad also conveys a sense of seriousness in terms of the situation. The manager is seen as being very concerned upon receiving the phone call, and is quickly taking charge to move things quickly once he arrives at the…

The middle part of this ad when the narrator is describing the main character’s descent into meth addiction and the camera cuts to many different scenes very fast. First it cuts to a close-up of an eye with fast moving graphics around the eye then it cuts abruptly to water dripping. It continues this fashion of quick cuts between people fighting and close-ups of faces. This segment of the ad is very disorienting. It is hard for the audience to tell exactly what is happening in each scene.…
