Lifetime Fitness Analysis

From the choices on missionstatements.com, I decided to analyze Lifetime Fitness’ mission statement and website. I felt that they clearly communicated it on their ‘About Us’ page. I also felt that the website actually exceeded what I expected in terms of attempting to pursue and fulfill their statement. At times, while the reading mission statements, I found it difficult to clearly understand what was trying to be said. Some of the statements were too wordy for me and I wasn’t able to quickly and effectively grasp what they were trying to say. In others, although I felt I had a slight understanding, upon visiting the website, I didn’t feel like I knew what they were trying to say. Offering opportunities for cycling outside of the fitness center itself is innovative in itself. But LF took it a step further to incorporate in-house training that helps their customers to train and strengthen themselves for the off-site cycling activities. Information about their on-site chiropractors and therapists gives added value to both athletes and people that are just wanting to stay in shape. This helps their customers maximize their schedule while reducing their recuperation and/or recovery time. Having a cafe in their facilities is very functional and educational, as well as, offering health and nutrition products. And there’s even a place on their website that offers information about their Certificate Programs and Continuing Education. Programs that certifies people as personal trainers, group fitness instructors, etc.
All of the things mentioned above really help to make LF a one stop, comprehensive health and fitness center that stays true to their mission. And their website falls right in line with it too. It’s entertaining, educational, friendly and inviting, and functional and
