Cannabis also known as Marijuana is a “ greenish-grey mixture of the dried, shredded leaves and flower of Cannabis Sativa” (NIDA), Many users smoke marijuana “ in hand-rolled cigarettes called joints; many use pipes called bongs” (NIDA). Marijuana is a drug frequently used by teenagers. It is used to relax and it is used as a drug to get away from the user 's problems. Marijuana causes a lot of problems in teenagers brains. Marijuana causes learning problems for those who use it. In comparison to those who don 't smoke, those who use the drug show memory, concentration, and reading problems. They use marijuana as an escape route. They use the drug to run away from their problems. So to reduce the use of marijuana we need to have therapy in schools also. Drug abuse programs might not find the answers to what is going on in the teens life outside of school. So to help the teens we need to have therapists in the schools for the teens to talk to. Most teens that use marijuana go through problems such as their parents being divorced, child abuse, and feeling worthless. Through therapy teens are able to talk about their problems and express how they feel. Teens who feel worthless abuse marijuana and it can eventually lead to suicide. With therapy teens are able to talk to someone that loves them. With therapy teens will feel loved and appreciated. They will be able to open up with the therapists and tell them what going on at home. They can talk about what the environment outside school is like. With therapy teens are able to build themselves back together. Marijuana takes alot from a teens brain. Through therapy teens will be able to find happiness. They won 't be afraid to tell people their problems and eventually won 't need to smoke because they do have help. If they don 't need help they won 't need to smoke marijuana. But the teens don 't realize that marijuana is their problem. So through therapy they realize that they don 't need marijuana to be happy. Therapy will show teens that not smoking will help them in the future. It helps them avoid the problems that marijuana cause such brain, social, and mental problems. Therapy will help teens become happier and healthier young men and women which will help them set up for future success because a happy and healthy life is a good life. Teens that don 't use marijuana are more likely to graduate than those who do smoke. With therapy teens will be able to be smarter young men and
