They’ll always be there for me when I need them, because they always have. Life has educated me with certain ethics and ideals that I will cherish forever. Lessons and teachings were bestowed upon me in that school that I will never forget. For example in elementary school, I wasn’t one of the best behaved students, but I was one of the smartest. The cause of my unacceptable behavior was the necessity for fun. I couldn’t have fun all the time because I needed to become knowledgeable and educate myself. Despite my predicament I found a path that worked for me. I had to transform my work into something fun. A competitive child I was then so what was my solution? Embrace my competitiveness upon my fellow classmates. Meaning I encouraged classmates to partake in contest or races to see who finished their work correct and fastest; not only with me but with all of our fellow classmates. These competitions raged on from Kindergarten where we raced to see who could color in the lines the fastest to 5th grade to see who could finish their Multiplication and Division tables the fastest and have them all …show more content…
When it all finally took into affect I had to accept that I would be attending this school until High school. Life taught me another lesson once again. “You can always find the Light in the Dark, or the Light will find you. And if none of that happens make your own Light.” In 8th grade all my classes I had A’s and or B’s except for 2 classes, Math and Science. I would blame the teachers for not teaching well or correctly, but I had to face and accept the fact it wasn’t their fault at all I wasn’t applying myself to the best that I could be or trying hard enough to learn and understand their way of teaching and the material. It took me awhile to realize this, but I did it in time I passed both classes with a B. I could have done much better if I wasn’t stubborn and un-cooperative in the classes. I was on the verge of getting an F in Algebra that year. I haven’t gotten an F since before and I was worried. Once I had a talk with my teacher and she told me I just had to apply myself her way of teaching became so clear and understandable to me once I started paying attention, studying and trying harder than any other kid in my class. Eventually I started doing better and it was worth it once I got a 4 on my EOC and
