Life Lessons Learned

Improved Essays
I want to start this letter by telling you a few things. The first is that in a few years, it will seem that you passed the most dramatic part of your life- you have not. The second is that you are loved- although you sometimes think you are not. The third is that you will miss being 5 years old- although you might think that you won’t. There are so many things that you will get wrong but those are all outnumbered by the things that you get right. I have so much to tell you in this letter and I just wish that you are as funny as everyone tells me you are. Although you are sassy and funny, you are at a critical stage in your life at this point. Mandi, you are in kindergarten and our great grandma has passed away; it is scary and you are learning life lessons that mom and dad did not want you to learn this young. …show more content…
It is a big word- I know but it is easy to understand. Resilience is how capable you are in recovering from difficulties. It is how you learn to adapt after trauma, stress and problems. You are becoming more resilient with each passing hardship. I know that it is tough when you found out T-bone died and how stressed you are without him to play fetch with you, it seems like that will never go away. Just to let you know, you get another dog, Birdie, she will be your best-friend. You do get through it and because you did, you are stronger because of it. So tell the word resilience to your teacher, Mrs. Sanchez, so it can look like you are a child genius,

Ultimately, it traces back to the childhood they had, their surroundings, and how those and the people in their life made an impact on them. According to Beauvais, Beauvais, DeNisco, and Stewart (2013), “ faculty could consider fostering situations that provide the student with a sense of competence, with the opportunity to feel successful, and with the ability to cope with diverse problems or challenges” (p.922).…
