The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton was a book about a young boy named Ponyboy, two brothers named Sodapop and Darry. Their gang called the Greasers and the rich gang called the Socials. Greasers were boys who had greasy hair, wore leather jackets, drove souped up cars, held up gas stations and who gotten into fights once in awhile. Socials were the rich boys, who drove souped up mustangs, smelled like tobacco, wore checkered shirts and who would get their name in the newspaper for being a disgrace to the community but saving a life the next.
