Personal Narrative: Life Is Just Like That Too

On a saturday morning I was on a drive with my parents. We drove through Connecticut and made our way into New York. Rain drizzled down on to the dry soil and the dry roads we were on. Looking at the trees and noticing how the rain was hitting the trees so gracefully, I had a epiphany. Just sitting there in the back seat with my parents in the front and my brother next to me I spoke to my father, “It’s interesting how depending on what you are focused on, what you see changes.” To the ten year old me he responded, “Life is just like that too, depending on your perspective, what you see changes completely.” We drove on into the forest where the rain had refused to stop. Even though few years have passed since this seemingly non important chat with my father, when I’m in a car during a rainstorm I 'm remind of the words he spoke to me. Back then, …show more content…
Being two years older than me, our age difference was small enough for us to be close, but the difference was also great enough for her to have dominance over me. Whenever I needed help with schoolwork she would be the first for me to approach. To me, she was the greatest tutor one could ask for. Although she was very kind, if I were to do something wrong, she would reprimand me more than anyone else. Unlike school, at home she explained in detail on what something is and why something is the way it is. Thanks to her help in my middle school years, my foundation for subjects like history and sciences were able to help me achieve high grades later in high school. Her strict rules taught me to be a better person, ranging from simple table rules to personal interactions. She was also my mentor in terms of sports. She encouraged me when I wanted to quit, and told me that I will never get better if I quit every time something gets difficult. With her encouragement, I kept on attending taekwondo, and by the time I was 14 I got my second degree black

Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do.…

Life is simply perspective. Some say that you have your whole life to do something, while others will argue that life is short and you should enjoy it to the full extent of it’s worth. You can look at something as exquisite, or atrocious. It doesn’t change what it is, but it changes your reaction to it. No matter how sure you are about the morality, someone else could view it differently.…

Same View; Different Perspective Through this life, I have only ever seen one side of the story. everyday My eyes piece together a picture from first person experiences based on class, gender, and race. Therefore, I have the sole ability to pick and choose the setting, the characters, and also the plot. Yet, I cannot control the lives of those around me or see the story from their eyes. As I sit there in that stand on a cold November morning before the sun has even risen. I sit there in the darkness the cold breeze chills me to the bone, but I don’t care in those moments. I feel safe, and not just because I have a shotgun in my hand, but because as a child, my dad was always there and I always felt safe with him. Everybody in my family hunted: my grandpa, then my dad, my mom, my sisters, and, finally, me. Hunting was just a way of life; I never thought anything about it, whether it was hunting for that trophy buck, or just hunting to put meat on the table.…

Life is like a roller coaster. There are moments in life when a person may face a lifelong of hardships, but some will prevail those challenging obstacles. At the time, it can lead one to suffocate and become overwhelmed by the desperation of repudiating the medical report; instead of accepting the style of living and obtaining stability. My main focus in my life right now is to earn an undergraduate degree and I tend to put work outside of school, and relationships second. “In three words I can summarize everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” I remember these words repeating in my head as my mom told me the devastating news about my uncle. When you are living your life, you began to feel as if nothing can come between you and your happiness. You forget that this journey does come to an end like a roller coaster does after its crazy, adrenaline-filled ride and it can happen to anyone you know. Events in life can hit you at any given moment, and sometimes you have to take the memory by the hand and carry it with you because it may be the reason you are who you have become today.…
