It all started on March 2010. My mom found out that my dad was having an affair. He never said so, but it became clear that it had been going on for some time already. It was with a woman at his work, so he could see her freely without any suspicion from us.
My mom kicked him out of the house, and he came and went for a while. He would visit us once in a while, but it was very awkward and I was very hostile towards him. He would sometimes let us sleep over at his house or go someplace with him, but I never went. I was through with him. He had crossed the line and there was no going back with me.
He attempted to give my mom an apology right after the whole thing had blown up and become known, and go back to the way that it was, but my mom told us that it was such a joke. And this was true. He was never going to change. He ran out on us again the next day. His heart was set; he was out of our household. He had blown it and none of us felt any love towards him anymore. And he didn’t bother going to church anymore either.

I dislike him very much for what he did, so much so that I will never ever considering doing it as well, just because he did. And to be completely honest, because of the transportation issue, church can seem inconvenient sometimes. We have to walk in the pouring rain, no matter what. We have to walk in 35°C blazing sun, no matter what. And while this can make church seem unattractive on extreme weather days, it also builds up strength in you to always go to church, no matter what.
